Looking at this close up I can really see the wonderful attention to detail, especially in the colours, the willow stems are beautiful. Lovely painting Sue!

Thanks P. Working on small paintings is sometimes such a 'rest' from the huge canvases I usually work on. I find it very therapeutic to get my 00 out and just paint in miniature. I imagine I am constructing the flower or stem from scratch and build up the colours and form bit by bit. You can get away with it with small pictures as there is a fair amount of eye trickery involved. Larger images are less forgiving. :-)
