Christmas turtle with all the trimmings

School christmas play season is upon is and for some reason, I drew the short straw in the make an outfit in under 24 hours stakes. A turtle shell. To fit an eight year old. Dress rehearsal Monday....
Truth be told I have rather enjoyed myself. Off to the local DIY shop for chicken wire, scrounging old newspaper for papier mache......and I bet its just for a walk-on part too!!

Memories.

My youngest neice got the Mary part. She says she's not going to be "playing it cheesey" though... Heaven only knows what that means. Not too graphic a portrayal of a "single mum" I hope.

Could this herald a move towards papier-mâché sculpture in the New Year? :) Your turtle shell looks amazing, SO detailed, a school play to remember that’s for sure :)

It's lovely Sue - I agree with Graham, more paper mache!

There's an aboriginal feel to this - nice work.

Wow. Cheers. I frequently try and work some aboriginal work into some of my florals and I couldn't resist with this turtle. Thank you. ;-)
